The Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus (VIPS-TC) has been set up in the year 2000 by Strength India Educational Society, a registered society for the purpose of providing professional quality education to students under the Leadership of Dr. S. C. Vats, founder Chairman. The Institute is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and recognized by the Bar Council of India & AICTE. The Institute follows the fundamental principles of education as propounded by the founder saint Swami Vivekananda after whose name the institution is named. The Institute is accredited with A++ Grade, by NAAC with CGPA of 3.58 on the four point scale and recognised by University Grants Commission U/s 2(f).
Presently VIPS-TC is conducting Three Postgraduate Programmes (LLM, MCA & MA (Mass Communication), and Twelve Graduate Programmes BA LL.B (Hons.), BBA LL.B (Hons.), BCA, BA (JMC), BBA (G), BA English (Hons.), B.Com (Hons.) & BA Economics (Hons.), B.Tech (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences, Industrial Internet of Things & Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology), Computer Science & Applied Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) and have made the institution one of the biggest in GGSIP University with a total student strength of about 10,000 students and faculty strength of about 350 spread over seven departments namely Engineering, Law, Computer Application, Journalism & Mass Communication, Business Administration, Commerce and Economics. In addition to this Strength India Educational Society has setup a Delhi School of Business a stand alone Institution in the year 2012 conducting PGDM (G) and PGDM (Fintech) affiliated by AICTE & Accredited by NBA.
The library is vital to the functioning of any institution, serving as the resource centre and nucleus of all academic activities. Recognizing the sancity of this, VIPS-TC nestles five libraries and works consistently to ensure that these are well stocked and the material available is up to date.
